BMX

The Supercross variant of BMX became an Olympic discipline for the first time at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

BMX is a spectacular, extreme cycling sport, whose athletes are referred to as “riders.” This sport requires great physical and technical skills, such as speed, power and endurance.

In BMX races, eight competitors are pitted against each other along a 340-400 m track. This track is special in that it is strewn with bumps, which riders either jump or roll up with their back rear wheel.

The BMX track in Osny is currently being upgraded. This track, with its ancillary facilities, meets the high-level sporting requirements for Paris 2024 Olympic Games Preparation Centres.
