Located opposite the sports complex by the same name, the Maradas - Joël Motyl Stadium, with its relatively new 2,000 m² covered Athletics Hall, its 400 m track, its 100 m and 200 m reverse-start tracks, and its throwing and jumping areas, allows all athletes to train in optimal conditions.
The athletes of the Cergy-Pontoise Club (EACPA), who train there every single day, have built up a solid reputation in the world of Athletics, having competed on many occasions in the French National Championships. Its biggest stars include Ninon Guillon-Romarin and Axel Chapelle (members of the French Pole Vault team), and Badr Touzi (member of the French Paralympic Shot Put team).
This stadium, with its ancillary facilities, meets the high-level sporting requirements for Paris 2024 Olympic Games Preparation Centres.
The Cergy-Pontoise Urban Area Community has been selected as an official Athletics Preparation Centre for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympics.
