With its 1,873 m² wood parquet court, which dates back to 2015, complies with the A4 and EN14904 standards, and is classified as a H3 facility (28m x 15m) by the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), the Maradas Sports Complex - Joël Motyl is one of the main facilities in the Cergy-Pontoise Urban Area Community. This facility is home to Cergy-Pontoise Basket Club, the best club in the Île-de-France region, with almost 700 registered players. Its senior team, The Spartans, currently plies its trade in National 1, France’s top basketball league.

This hall, with its ancillary facilities, meets the high-level sporting requirements for Paris 2024 Olympic Games Preparation Centres.
